A study conducted by Canadian researchers that lemon juice, grapefruit and apples might reduce the absorption of some medicines in the body, and thus ineffective.

The doctors said that the result of the study gives additional reason to avoid eating these kinds of juice with certain drugs, including drugs designed to keep the cancer patient or certain cardiovascular diseases or infections or antibiotics.

For his part, explained Dr. David Bailey in pharmacology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, the lemon juice, grapefruit and apples reduces significantly the intestinal absorption of these medicines.
